Often described as a meditative practice, monotype printmaking embraces the use of both botanical and drawing materials. In this hands-on workshop you will create a series of prints and take home the skills to continue practicing at home. Feel free to bring along any dried plants and flowers to work with. This workshop is solvent free and eco-friendly and included in the price of the ticket is a glass of wine and grazing board selection.
OPEN STUDIO: RELIEF PRINTMAKING

This course will give participants the opportunity to develop their relief printmaking practice in a supportive and friendly environment. Work on unfinished projects, print using a press and have access to hand-printing tools. It will also be a space for participants to begin something new and have the chance to discuss techniques and ideas.

LINOCUT MANDALA

In this hands-on workshop, learn how to design, carve and print a small linocut block. Using patterns and mandala imagery, you will be introduced to relief printmaking techniques and take home a small collection of prints.
Feel free to bring along a 10 x 10x cm mandala image. There will also be images provided on the day. This workshop is solvent free and eco friendly. All materials provided.
Included in the price of the ticket is a glass of wine and grazing board selection.
GREEN ETCHING FOR BEGINNERS

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to design, etch and print an intaglio plate using eco-friendly printmaking grounds and etching resists. Working solvent free, you will develop a small body of work and take home two etching plates, a collection of prints and the skills to etch in your own studio.

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to design, carve and print a lino block. Working solvent free, you will develop a small body of work and take home one lino block, a collection of prints and the skills to carve and print at home. You are welcome to bring along 1 x image: 10x10cm. There will also be time in class to develop your imagery.
INTRODUCTION TO DRYPOINT PRINTMAKING

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to design and print a dry-point etching plate. Using a range of different intaglio mark making techniques, you will develop a small body of work and take home three dry-point plates, a collection of prints and the skills to carve and print at home. This workshop is solvent free and eco-friendly. Optional: you are welcome to bring along any old CDs/DVDs that you may have as these make fantastic dry point plates. Materials valued at $45 included in fee.
